I want to tell you about a Sunday that started with a TikTok comment and ended with one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth.
We had posted a review of a local spot on TikTok — just doing what we do, sharing places worth knowing about. And right there in the comments, Janet showed up and said it plain and simple: visit Bob’s Eatery.
I replied that we would absolutely be planning that trip.
And so, I went. Because that is the whole point isn’t it? Stop saying “someday” and actually go.
So on a Sunday I got in the car and headed to downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. Janet had sent a photo of their strawberry cheesecake milkshake and I was already on a mission before I hit the highway.
That is the Say Yes More life. Someone drops a recommendation in your comments, you trust it, and instead of saying “oh that looks amazing, maybe someday” — you go.
So that’s exactly what I did.
The Drive Down — And Why It’s Half the Point
I need to talk about this drive for a minute because it is absolutely stunning.
Passing the Ocoee River — the lush green, the water, the rafters out there on a Sunday morning doing their thing — it reminded me why I love a road trip. There is something about being in your car, windows down, no particular schedule, watching the world go by that just clears everything out of your head.
By the time I got to Blue Ridge the town was already buzzing. Hustling. Full of people out enjoying a beautiful day. And I had one thing on my mind.
That milkshake.

You know how it goes. You see amazing photos of food somewhere online and you make the trip and then you get there and it is… fine. Just fine. The photos were better than the reality and you drive home a little disappointed and a little hungry.
Bob’s Eatery is NOT that place.
I want to be very clear about this.
From the moment I walked up I could see food being delivered to tables around me and every single plate, every single dish, looked absolutely incredible. The kind of food where you find yourself staring at someone else’s table thinking I should have ordered that.
They are not just a dessert spot — though the desserts alone are worth the drive. They also have sandwiches and pizza and everything coming out of that kitchen looked like it meant business.
But let’s be honest. I was there for one reason.
@theemptynestmoms You know it’s good when there’s NONE left!! Can’t wait to share my review of Bob’s Eatery in Blue Ridge 😍 #bobseatery #delicious #foodie #emptynestlife

It did not disappoint.
Not even a little.
I don’t know how to fully describe this to you except to you!
Strawberry. Cheesecake. Milkshake.
Every single element working together perfectly. Cold and thick and absolutely packed with flavor. The kind of thing you think about on the drive home. The kind of thing you text people about.
Which is exactly what I did.
It was such a beautiful day that I chose to sit outside — and they have a lovely spot for it. If the weather isn’t cooperating they also have a separate entrance to an indoor seating area so you are covered either way.
I sat outside in the sunshine with my milkshake and watched Blue Ridge do its thing and I thought — this is exactly what saying yes looks like.
A follower drops a comment on a TikTok video. You reply that you will plan the trip. And then — and here is the important part — you actually plan the trip. You get in the car. You drive through some of the most beautiful scenery in Georgia. You find a little gem of a place in a town that is full of them. And you sit in the sunshine and drink a strawberry cheesecake milkshake and feel like the luckiest person alive.
That is the whole thing right there.
