Most days, my movement comes from my local gym — the kind that makes it easier to show up because my kids can be involved too. And on the days I can’t make it there, I’ve committed to something simple and realistic: 10,000 steps a day.

I’ve stopped skipping meals or “waiting until later.” Instead, I focus on simple, protein-forward options that actually fit into mom life — things I can grab quickly, eat between activities, or have after movement without overthinking it.

When I fuel my body well:

  • My energy is steadier
  • My movement feels better
  • I’m less tempted to fall into all-or-nothing thinking

It’s not about eating perfectly.
