The Christmas Simmer Pot: A Mother–Daughter Moment You Can Gift

| | | |

✔ A way to say “I’m thinking of you.”
✔ A tiny tradition that builds connection — even when the kids are grown.

Every year around Christmas, Lauren sends me new scent ideas. A photo of cinnamon sticks. A TikTok recipe for a festive stovetop blend. A “Mom, you have to try this one!”

And even though she’s grown, living her own busy life, these little messages still feel like we’re standing side-by-side in the kitchen… slicing oranges, laughing, creating a memory that smells like Christmas.

That’s the magic of Motherhood.
You spend years teaching them how to make a home — and then one day, they teach you something cozy and beautiful right back.

For us, it’s the Christmas simmer pot.

A warm, nostalgic scent that fills the whole house and instantly brings everyone back to center. And this year, we started turning that tradition into a gift — a simple mason jar filled with everything needed to let someone else simmer a little love in their own home.

Because sometimes the sweetest way to say “I care about you” is through a scent that feels like home.

🎁 The Christmas Simmer Pot Mason Jar Gift (Our New Favorite Tradition)

Lauren and I love — turning something simple into something meaningful. We love doing DIY for gifts.

  • teachers
  • neighbors
  • coworkers
  • hostesses
  • friends
  • your grown kids when you want to send “home” in a jar

It’s thoughtful, budget-friendly, and absolutely adorable.

Why This Tradition Matters

As Moms — especially Empty Nest, not-yet-Empty Nest, Bonus Moms, exhausted Moms, and everything in between — we learn that connection doesn’t always come from big moments.

Sometimes it’s a simmer pot on a December afternoon.
Sometimes it’s a jar full of cinnamon and oranges handed to a friend.
Sometimes it’s your Daughter sending you a new recipe just because she thought of you.

These tiny traditions?
They become the threads that keep us connected — year after year, season after season.

And if you make one thing this Christmas…
let it be something that warms your home and your heart.
